LAKE FRIENDLY LIVING AMBASSADORS

Become a Lake Friendly Living Ambassador

Lake Friendly Living Ambassadors are volunteers who help spread practical information about protecting Cayuga Lake and its watershed. Whether you’re passionate about gardening, protecting our environment, building community, or simply love the lake, you can help friends and neighbors discover simple actions that make a difference. You don’t need to be an expert. We’ll provide resources, ideas, and support. All you need is an interest in helping others learn about Lake Friendly Living.

What Ambassadors Do

Every Ambassador participates in a way that matches their interests, skills, and availability. You might:

  • Staff a Lake Friendly Living table at a local festival, farmers market, or community event
  • Organize an educational workshop or community presentation at a library, for a club, church, business, or neighborhood association
  • Host a Lake Friendly Living conversation with neighbors or friends
  • Share Lake Friendly Living information through your community network, in person or online
  • Encourage others to take the Lake Friendly Living Pledge

Whether you volunteer a few hours each year or become a regular community leader, you can help us build a healthier watershed.

Why It Matters

Every person in the watershed can help protect clean water.

By helping neighbors understand how everyday choices affect lake and watershed health, Lake Friendly Living Ambassadors help create healthier communities and a culture of stewardship. Together, we can inspire and empower practical actions that protect Cayuga Lake for generations to come.
