Trash-Based Art Show Opens 6/7 in Ithaca – free public event, all ages welcome ‘Strewn Forgotten Gathered ReImagined’ Opening Friday June 7 GALLERY NIGHT at CSMA Ithaca: From Finger Lakes waterways, to urban public spaces, to rural homesteads, litter and other left-behind objects are ubiquitous in the landscape. Join us for this exhibition of works by local artists addressing discarded objects found outdoors – trash. Through photography, painting, sculpture, maps, and mixed-media work, artists Alyssa Anderson, Leslie Brack, Caroline Byrne, Shera Delia, Nancy Malina, Chris Oliver, Michelle Plunkett, Marsha Taichman, Robin Tropper-Herbel, Magdalena Zink, and others consider and reinterpret discarded materials. Presented by Cayuga Lake Watershed Network, CSMA, and the Glorious Trash Birds. The exhibition will be on view at CSMA from June 7 through July 26.
Free & open to the public. All ages.
