Six Mile Creek Partnership

Creamery Road to Six Hundred Road - Segment 8

This segment contains the Barrile Site which extends approximately 3,000 feet upstream from the Route 79 bridge, just outside of Slaterville Springs. The project will use fluvial geomorphology techniques to combat unstable creek channels that currently have active lateral migration and excessive erosion.

The design phase for channel restoration is underway, and construction is anticipated to begin during the summer of 2004.

The site provides opportunities for volunteers to monitor and plant trees.
