Winners Chosen for 6th Annual Essay Contest

This year, the topic was "What's in our Water?". First prize in the adult category is James Murphy, D.C. (Romulus). There were 3 high school winners: Jesse McConnell (McLean) won 1st prize; Kristen Tauer (Ithaca) and Simon Horrocks (Dryden) tied for 2nd. There were no prizes awarded at the intermediate level this year. Congratulations to all our winners. Their prize-winning essays are linked from this website their names.

The Annual Essay Contest challenges youth and adults to think about their role in protecting the valuable natural resources in the Cayuga Lake Watershed. Visit the Website in November 2006 for an announcement of the theme of our 2007 contest. The deadline for submissions is March 15. We hope to read your entries!
