Winners Chosen for 5th Annual Essay Contest

This year, the topic was "The Rich History of the Cayuga Lake Watershed". First prize in the adult category is shared between Nancy Reddy and Louise Bement. High school winner is Lissa Ray of Southern Cayuga Central School. Two South Seneca students tied for first in the middle school competition - Ellie Pell and Mariah Bowers, and Romulus Central School student Emily Locke won 3rd place. The Annual Essay Contest challenges youth and adults to think about their role in protecting the valuable natural resources in the Cayuga Lake Watershed. Visit the Website in November 2005 for an announcement of the theme of our 2006 contest. The deadline for submissions is March 15. We hope to read your entries!
