Present: Julie Patterson, Roxy Johnston, Judy Morehouse,
Judy Pipher
Agenda: Lakefest Planning Minutes from our last
several meetings in March have been posted on the www. The latter
contains each person’s “to do” list.
Judy P reported that
· she received go-ahead on draft letter to request donation
from Goulds Pumps to support Lakefest, and faxed it to them
· she sent press release to 20 newspapers/brochures, received
3 wrong e-mail notifications, and plans to send paper copy to those.
Heard positively from Farm Bureau column Ithaca Journal, and Finger
Lakes Times published. Menioned link from home page so she linked

· Has heard from 4 displays positively, 2 negative, and 1
contact wrong.
· Sent Tom Knight request to donate his time; no response.
Phone followup suggested.
· Sent request to Sally Eller and R.E.A.D. dog
· Arranged to rent a 20 x 40 ft tent. Julie had arranged
to borrow. Got prices on tables and chairs. Has yet to call Fayette
Fire Dept guy re: borrowing same successfully (no answer)
Roxy reported that Compost theatre declined to perform.
Julie suggested that we have face painting (she can organize).
She also will contact Kevin Zippel to provide frogs and other critters
for Lakefest.
Judy M. will contact Carmina Russo or other person to have balloons
for kids. She will start soliciting door prizes. Judy P will provide
lists.
Judy P and M plan to visit Goose Watch to assess space and room
situation. Perhaps Friday April 4.
Judy P was asked to provide letterhead with suggested letter to
grocery stores to rest of group. Judy M will contact P&C and
Aldi’s Seneca Falls, Wegmans Geneva and Auburn. Julie will
ask Tops in Auburn and the Big M in Union Springs. Hopefully Roxy
can cover the Ithaca area.
Julie is attending a conference where she can solicit ideas and
perhaps produce etc. donations to Lakefest on April 12.
Next telecon:
Friday April 11 at 2pm. Judy M will call RJ to remind. All should
have gone through much of their “to do” list by then.
